BIO
Eugenia Andrea Barbisan is an Italian painter and printmaker from Treviso.
Born in Padua in 1993, she has shown interest in drawings and images since her early years of her life. After having completed her fine arts secondary school studies, specializing in Sculpture, in 2012 she pursued her studies at the Venice Academy of Fine Arts. She earned her undergraduate Master’s Degree in printmaking in March 2019, with professor Paolo Fraternali who introduced her to the non-toxic etching method with copper sulfate. In Venice she also studied anatomical drawing with professor Renzo Peretti, who is a co-author of the anatomical drawing method text book “Struttura Uomo”, currently used as reference literature in drawing schools all over Europe.
In March 2019, thanks to the “ Erasmus + ” programme, she moved to Scotland where she started her six-month traineeship at the Edinburgh Printmakers Studio. In the scottish capital Eugenia started working as freelance artist and art tutor and she is now back in Italy working between Treviso and Venice.
